Georgia-Pacific, Camas cleanup

The Department of Ecology (Ecology) invites you to comment on the draft Agreed Order and Public Participation Plan for cleanup activities at the Georgia-Pacific Consumer Operations LLC paper mill in Camas.

  • The Agreed Order would require the mill to investigate contamination on the site and perform interim actions to address contamination when required.
  • The Public Participation Plan describes how we will engage with people as cleanup actions taking place.

Located at 401 NE Adams Street in Camas, pulp and paper operations have taken place on the site since the late 1880s. Though the mill has shut pulping operations, it still makes paper products from purchased pulp.

Ecology is not aware of any plans for the sale or shutdown of current operations at the site.
