Public Comment Period - Draft 2026 Upland Finfish Hatching and Rearing General Permit

The Washington State Department of Ecology is releasing the draft Upland Finfish Hatching and Rearing General Permit for public comment.

The current permit went into effect Oct. 1, 2021, and expires Sept. 30, 2026. The draft general permit, fact sheet explaining the legal and technical basis for the draft permit, economic impact analysis, a copy of the proposed application for coverage, and information on our meetings and public hearings can be found on the Upland Finfish Hatching and Rearing General Permit webpage.
